Borglum, whose subjects are theIndian, the cowboy, and the broncho, and George Barnard.New York City is the center of American sculpture. 739. American Literature. After the Revolution, Americanliterature was still in its infancy. The period beginning withJacksons administration not only ushered in a new era in gov-ernment, industry, and national spirit, but also the GoldenAge in American literature.
