eap ifyou dont look out. Because of onebad year on the farm is no reason toquit. Call the farmer an opulentcuss if you desire, but what business or manufacture is expected to go onselling below cost of production? Thereis a silver lining, however. Bettermarket conditions, facilities and organ-ization for farmers will and must comeor blooie! One of the best ways for farmers toeconomize I find is to make their syrupthick and put it in jugs. Only a littlewill run out during cold weather. I amtrying that plan. It certainly works.A gallon will outlast two in buckets. There are many ways to save if youwill only think them out. Ones wifewill not eat so much if one will haveher teeth pulled. I offer that sugges-tion. It will work out nicely. It willhelp greatly to work, save and carry on. By Major Tom Noodle.(Rome News, Sept. 13, 1921)Busy times. Foddel-pulling, hay-making and sirup-making on hand allat once. Edgar Sanders and bride spent lastweek with their parents, Mr. and Mrs.E. S. Sanders.
