Mr.LeHardys peaceful disposition, his un-blemished reputation and the attend-ant circumstances caused a jury torender a verdict of acquittal. The tragedy occurred in the sum-mer of 1870 and about eight yearslater Mr. LeHardy removed his familyto Eagle Cliff, Lookout Mountain, nearFlintstone, Walker County, Georgia,where he died March 6, 1888.
