You may fufpect that Blood is extravafated in the cavity of the Cra-nium from the violence of the Symptoms which fucceed, if the Patient lies fti)lwithout Senfe or Motion •, if Blood flows from the Mouth, Ears, or Noie ; ifthe Eyes are much inflamed and fwelled; if vomiting fucceeds; when upon theremimon of thefe Symtoms the Patient complains of a remarkable heavinefs ofHead, a Sleepinefs, Vertigo, Blindnefs, Spafms, and Diforders of this kind.When the quantity of extravafated Blood is very confiderable, and oppreflesthe Cerebellum, the Patient dies upon the fpot; but when the Extravafation isnot in a very large quantity, or at leaft does not affect the Cerebellum, Lifeftill remains, but the Symptoms related above come on : Sometimes thefe Symp-toms come on very flowly, and great numbers of Perlbns, who have appearedat firft to have been but flightly wounded, have died in this manner after feme time, /.V.^AV,
