One wonders thatthere are so many who think it possible to leave their worldlyinterests for an hour at midday, or so many women who do notfeel that their small duties at home are too imperative. Manyof them come in on the early trains from the country, carryingtheir satchels, and they are the ones, perhaps, who evince bytheir faces and eager manner the most vital interest in thesemeetings. Mr. Moody, who speaks as readily and impressively at theprayer-meetings as he does to the crowds who assemble in theafternoon and evening, made to-day an address on Thanks-giving. He said that after praising God, and praying to Himday and night for weeks, the time seemed already to havecome to give thanks for the evidence they had had, that theprayers had reached the Throne of Grace. Many instanceswere given of what seemed direct answers from God to theseprayersâ
