فارسی: تعداد مسیرهای مختلف یا به عبارت دیگر حالت‌های ممکن برای متغیرهای پنهان، از اندازه‌ی نمایی است ولی با استفاده از الگوریتم ویتربی می‌توان محتمل‌ترین آن‌ها را با استفاده از الگوریتم چندجمله‌ای به‌دست آورد.
برای هر مسیر داده‌شده، احتمال متناظر با استفاده از ضرب مقادیر ماتریس انتقال احتمال‌ها است. |
