| Description |
English: A derelict Site. Until a few months ago this was the site of a petrol station.
Situated on the old A253 it was the local "fill-up" for motorists in Minster and Acol. It was also accessible from both lanes of the road. When the road was upgraded and a continuous central reservation added, motorists from Minster and Acol had to access the garage via the Monkton roundabout, an extra three miles. When the Somerfield shop/petrol station opened on the other side of the roundabout 495491 this petrol station probably lost most of its custom and was closed and the site and tanks cleared. |
