ot stem it. I wasin danger of running the ship against steep rocks which lie onthe North side, she taking a shear with the tide. There growlong weeds on the rocks ; I went and sounded over them, andhad five feet water on them, and 14 fathoms by the side of themnext the channel: they come from the point of the Narrow onthe North side a mile off.
