Description
Español: Un joven astrónomo sostiene un globo celeste, donde se pueden apreciar las constelaciones representadas con figuras de animales. Las constelaciones que se ven corresponden al hemisferio norte, entre otras la de la Osa Mayor. También se puede apreciar un cuadrante en el primer plano. El cuadro esta enmarcado con el dibujo de un lienzo que le da a la pintura una sensación de tridimensionalidad. Se calcula por referencia a otro cuadro similar del mismo autor, que el cuadro fue realizado en 1685.
