tuate, nowXorwell, April 26, 1850, and is a descendant of Thomas Barstow, who was identifiedwith the ship-building interests on Xorth River during its roost flourishing career. Hewas educated in the public schools and Hanover Academy. He is chairman of theXorwell board of selectmen, assessors and overseers of the poor. Committee on roadsand bridges, 1892. Vote of district: Thomas Barstow, Republican, 481; Joseph H. Corthell, Demo-crat, 353 ; Galen Watson, Prohibition, 56. District Xo. 4. — Cohasset, Hingham, Hull.—Amos Abbott Lawrence, Repub-lican, merchant, is a native resident of Cohasset, and was born Xov. 3, 1847. Heattended the public schools and graduated from the high school in 1864, then attended aBoston business college. After nine years in employ of Edward E. Tower, risins fromoffice boy to head book-keeper, he became a member of the firm.
