Description
English: A Post Medieval lead alloy cloth seal from Gloucester (AD1665). This is a four-part cloth seal where each part is lozenge-shaped. The two larger parts are stamped. Side one bears the crown above the Royal shield with C to the right and R to the left for Charles II. Side two reads GLOS/TER/1665 with an annulet above. The lower two unmarked sides are joined with the stud and perforation. Dimensions: length: 41.41mm; width: 22.35mm; thickness: 7.24mm; weight: 9.64g.
