English: A Post Medieval lead alloy cloth seal from Calais (18th century). The cloth seal is comprised of two discs connected by a strip.

Side one: Arms of Paris – Three fleur de lys within an ornate oval, crown above. Within a quatrefoil border, all within a twisted rope border. Inscription: FERMES ROYALES Side two: Paris type ship with waves below and triangular sails Inscription: CALAIS DE DOVANN

Dimensions: diameter: 32.01mm; weight: 22.62g.
