Summary[edit]

Description

The certificate I was given after the memorable flight I took on the last operational De-Havilland Comet 4C. We flew from Gatwick proceeding to Heathrow where the first of two thrilling low level runway beat-ups took place, the second coming later in the flight with a repeat beat-up of RAF Brize Norton, where the aircraft had once been stationed whilst serving with the RAF. The old girl was in fine fettle and the Captain did his best to relieve the passengers of their breakfasts by throwing her all over the sky! A grand memory of a grand old aircraft

The certificate carries the signatures of the flight deck and cabin crews.
