| Description |
English: A Dartmoor letterbox on Laughter Tor The "letterbox" is an 8x6x3 inch white plastic box below the boulder at bottom right of the photograph. Inside is a rubber stamp and a visitors' book. There are many thousands of letterboxes all over Dartmoor. Enthusiasts of letterboxing aim to find letterboxes with a set of clues, to take an ink impression of the rubber stamp in the box and to record the date they visited in the book. This is a reference photograph of one of our letterboxes, sited in memory of Kipper (1992-2006), a dog from the Forest Inn, Hexworthy (SX 6551 7263). |
