Summary[edit]

Description
English: A Beautiful Memorial This beautifully worked stone commemorates Jessie Gideon Wood, who died in 1870, aged 29 years. It also commemorates Captain William Neill, presumably her brother-in-law, who died in 1895, aged 58. The stone shows a figure writing at a table, another holding the sword and scales and the heavenly angels waiting above. Most of the old symbolic stones are badly worn, being made from soft sandstone. The quality of this restored stone shows what has been lost.
