| Description | A 5-tiered pagoda beside the Itsukushima shrine on the Miyajimacho island off Hiroshima, Japan. The approach to the pagoda was from a side street leading from the shrine itself to the ferry terminal. I did not explore or even approach the pagoda as I was woefully short of time- I had an over one hour trip back to Hiroshima station to catch my Shinkansen bullet train back to Osaka and the minutes were previous at the moment. I did not find any references to this pagoda in any of my research material which I accessed while doing the captioning so the pagoda is probably not very important. (I hope). Detailed notes about the Itsukushima shrine appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). (Hiroshima,Japan, Apr/ May 2019) |
