Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ways for subpartitioning of coding units in the free video coding format AV1. The ones inherited from VP9 are the four on the left side, the rest are the new ones, including the "T-shaped" partitioning schemes from the experimental format VP10. Splitting to four squares can be done recursively down to blocks of four by four pixels.
