Nederlands: Verraders worden levend gespiest na de val van Baticaloa op 18 mei 1638. Nederlanders en de inwoners van Ceylon waren samen opgetrokken tegen de Portugezen. Hierna werd de Nederlander Willem Jacobsz Coster commandeur van het fort te Baticaloa.
English: Traitors are skewered alive after the fall of Baticaloa on May 18, 1638. The Dutch had joined forces with the inhabitants of Ceylon against the Portuguese. Subsequently the Dutchman Willem Jacobsz Coster became commander of the fort at Baticaloa.
