Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A3D-1 Skywarrior of Heavy Attack Squadron VAH-1 launching from USS Shangri-La (CVA-38). This was the first A3D catapult shot, the pilot was Dick Davidson. Note the catapult bridle dropping below the A3D.
