Description
English: Arial Photo of Warsaw in early 1920's. Visible in the center of the photo is Saxon Square with Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the middle behind the cathedral one can see Saxon Palace and the dark region in the top center of the image is Saxon Garden, with round water tower visible. To the right of Saxon Palace on diagonal to the grid one can see Brühl Palace. To the left of Saxon Palace on other side of Królewska St. one can see Gmach Zachęty. The intersection in the lower-left quadrant is Królewska St. (vertical) and Krakowskie Przedmieście (horizontal). At that intersection one can see Kościół Wizytek, than moving to the right along Krakowskie Przedmieście street one can see Hotel Europejski, Hotel Bristol and Pałac Potockich.
Polski: Warszawa z lotu ptaka na początku lat dwudziestych. Widoczny na zdjęciu jest Plac Saski z Soborem Prawosławnym św. Aleksandra Newskiego. Za soborem widać Pałac Saski, a za pałacem, ciemna część zdjęcia (w środku na górze) to Ogród Saski, niewielki okrągły budynek na wzniesieniu to Wodozbiór. Na prawo od Pałacu Saskiego budynek po przekątnej to Pałac Brühla. Na lewo od Pałacu Saskiego po drugiej stronie ulicy Królewskiej widać Gmach Zachęty. Skrzyżowanie w dolnej lewej ćwiartce zdjęcia to ulice Królewska (pionowa) i Krakowskie Przedmieście (pozioma). Przy skrzyżowaniu (na samym dole) widać Kościół Wizytek. Na prawo od skrzyżowania, w zachodniej pierzei widać budynki Kuźni Saskich, na miejscu których w 1933 r. wybudowano Dom bez Kantów, dalej Hotelu Europejskiego i Pałacu Potockich, naprzeciwko Hotelu Europejskiego w pierzei południowej Hotelu Bristol. Na lewo od skrzyżowania (w samym rogu - lewym dolnym) można zobaczyć jeden z bydynków Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego - dawny Pałac Tyszkiewiczów.
