That night Chun Yees mother got a pair of bigshears, and coming up to him, said, Now, if you donot promise to stop going to that foreign-devil chapel,I am going to cut off your hair. You then will looklike the foreigner you really are. She had not realized the power and strength of pur-pose that had come to her son through faith in Jesus. Here it is. Cut it off, if you will, he replied,smilingly holding out with one hand the long, blackbraid of hair. 4*
