Summary[edit]

Description
English: This 750mm gauge steam line from Zittau to Jonsdorf and Oybin was about to be closed as it was in the way of an extension to an area of open cast lignite mining. However, political and economic adjustments meant that the plan did not go ahead and the railway remains in business. 99 1735-2 runs round the carriages for the journey back to Bertsdorf. The Deutsche Reichsbahn station clock puts the time at 15.13 on this dull November day high up in the Zittauer Gebirge.
