תיאור: שער ישן לשוק לירקות - שוק הכרמל ברחוב ישכון 41 תל אביב
הערות: שוק הכרמל בתל אביב הוא הגדול ביותר בגוש דן. השוק ע"ש הרחוב בו הוא מצוי ברובו. ב1913 הציע ארתור רופין ליהודים ציונים לקנות אדמות בעיר העברית הנבנית. קבוצת יהודים עשירים מרוסיה קנו חלקות באזור רחוב הכרמל ב-1000 רובל. לאחר מהפכת אוקטובר 1917 הקבוצה נמלטה לארץ ישראל בידיים ריקות. ראש העיר דיזנגוף אישר להם להקים ברחוב הכרמל שוק קטן לסחר פירות וירקות שנחנך ב-1920. היה צורך ברישיון ובתשלום מס. ערבים מהכפרים מכרו ירקות בזול על יד השוק וגזלו לקוחות. בהמשך גדל השוק והתפשט לסמטאות שכונת כרם התימנים.
