Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Army Commendation medal with "V" device. The "V" device signifies valorous actions in direct contact with an enemy force. Task Force Saber, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, awarded three ARCOMs with "V" device April 26 to Army aviators. The OH-58D pilots saved an Afghan National Army convoy pinned down under heavy fire in a tight valley. Their actions and willingness to put themselves in harm's way saved the lives of the Afghan soldiers pinned in their vehicles.
