Description
English: 8-key wooden flute made by Thomas Prowse, London, originally owned by Thomas Harris. The flute was later given to his son, William John Harris, who immigrated to the United States from England in 1871. He attended medical school in Missouri, and became a prominent physician in St. Louis, appearing in local directories and advertisements as "Dr. W. John Harris".
