Description
English: 7th March 2008 - River Don 'Clean up' by the Environment Agency Begins .... This view shows the River Don at Oughtibridge, taken from the bridge and looking downstream towards Sheffield, with 'work in progress' to clear the area and remove debris following the floods of 2007. This 'opening up' of the river should eliminate future flooding by removing the obstacles where debris can collect. Most of the felled trees have been 'chipped' on site ... the pile of wood chippings is just visible on the left of the picture. 877567 877559 877576 877598 877605
