Title
791490 Medieval horse harness pendant
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy horse harness pendant, 44mm long, 27mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in good condition with a brown patina and weighs 7.32 grams. The pendant is shield shaped and has a broken central suspension loop. Its decoration is very well preserved and shows a white enamel Dog or lion facing left with just a part of its tail missing. Above the animals head are two leaf shaped motifs which appear to be made of blue enamel. There is a red ribbon like motif running from under the animals stomach to the base of the pendant. The object has at least five patches of gold still attached to its surface.
