Earnst Superintendent Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325 Dear Mr. Earnst: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of February 23, 1977, informing me that you have a balance of $721.51 remaining in the Mississippi Monument Account. This is to advise you that we are in perfect agreement with you to spend the money to build a rail fence or in any other way you see fit. It was your intention when we gave you what we had left in the account to make a gift to the National Military Park of the remaining balance in the Mississippi Gettysburg Memorial Account, so you can use it as you see fit and we certainly approve of your building a rail fence wherever you desire.
