Title
725C27 Roman glass intaglio
Description
English: Roman or post medieval? glass oval intaglio, 19mm long, 16mm wide and 3mm thick. It has a centrally placed classically dressed standing figure. This is contained within a narrow raised border running around the circumference of the intaglio, which in turn sits on a slightly wider base. It may be from an oval Roman plate brooch or a Georgian seal fob, as there is no evidence that it came from a ring. However, it was found in the vicinity of a Roman site.
