Summary[edit]

Description
English: 70013 Storms past the M&GN signal Oliver Cromwell pleases the crowd leaving Sheringham. The two cylinder 4-6-0 heads the Broadsman train (from London). The Broadsman train used to run from London Liverpool Street to Sheringham, never going any further up the line. However Sheringham was too busy to watch on this occasion so a quick walk up the road leads to the M&GN signal. Just to be a rivet counter I should also say that the shed plate is wrong 12A (Carlisle) has been put on instead it should really be 32A (Norwich) where it began its working life. The event had caused a lot of attention, several airplanes were in the air (including Mike Page) along with well over 4000 people. Sheringham Golf course is on the left, another addition to Sheringham after the arrival of the railway in the 19th Century.
