English: A cast copper alloy horse harness pendant. A shield shaped pendant with heraldic decoration comprosing a blue background a three diagonal lines running top left to bottom right and either side of these three small lions. A shield shaped stud with this coat of arms is illustrated in Griffiths, N, 1995, "Harness pendants and associated fittings" page 70 - 71, number 80 in John Clark ed, "The Medieval Horse and its Equipment", Museum of London. At the top is a suspension loop with a circular hole, This has been slightly bent, but was originally set at right angles to the top edge of the shield. The back is undecorated.
