| Description |
English: A tower crane is a tall, fixed crane used for lifting heavy loads and materials on construction sites. It is often used in the construction of tall buildings, bridges, and other large structures.
The tower crane consists of a vertical tower, a horizontal jib (or boom) that extends from the top of the tower, and a cab or operator's station located on the top of the crane. The crane's lifting capacity is determined by the length of the jib and the height of the tower. The crane's operation is controlled by an operator who uses a series of controls in the cab to manipulate the crane's movements. The crane can rotate 360 degrees, and the jib can be raised, lowered, and extended or retracted using hydraulic or electric controls. |
