Section 1, Scope of Services The contractor shall, in a satisfactory and proper manner as determined by the Society and approved by the Superintendent of the Gettysburg National Military Park, or his representative, perform the following services on the North Carolina Monument: A. Remove and transport the bronze statue to the contractor's foundry in Cincinnati, Ohio. B. Remove any and all lead plugs or inappropriate metals and replace with bronze equal to the composition of the original casting. C. Holes, cracks, or other defects will be repaired with bronze equal to the original. D. Repair or replace all parts that require repairing or " replacing. List of such repairs or replacements shall be approved by the Park, in writing, in advance. E. Clean the bronze statues according to the attached specifications. F. Apply patina to the statues according to the aforementioned specification. G. Transport the statue from Cincinnati, Ohio' to Gettysburg National Military Park.
