Summary[edit]

Description

The Pantheon is dedicated to 19th century Bulgarian freedom fighters. I have the feeling that it was not open in 1993, and had a rather down at heel feeling, with rubbish thrown through the gaps. Fortunately there was no graffiti as surrounded the Georgi Dimitroff mausoleum in Sofia seen 15 months later. There was certainly no eternal flame in 1993 and it was not open as it is today. The Ruse trolleybus system was only inaugurated in 1988 and I suspect these very high fleet numbers are the vehicle manufacture numbers of the ZIU9 Engels trolleybuses from the Soviet Union. @queen_tiye has a modern picture ,herewith detailed history of the pantheon, its opening in 1978 on a secularised former burial site and its subsequent desecularisation in 2001. A total of 61 Ziu vehicles entered service in Ruse.

Ruse fleet here This one is effectively fleet number 15.
