| Description |
CHF 50 gold coin (obverse). The Swiss National Bank minted 6 million of these coins (2 million each in 1955, 1956 and 1959), but the coins were never given into circulation. In February 2009, Swissmint communicated that most of the coins had been melted back into bullion, except of a remainder 60,000 pieces (20,000 for each year). |
