White paper with typed black text and a handwritten signature

November 20, 1968 Mr. George F. Emory, Superintendent Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325 My dear Mr. Emory: Because of the serious illness of my sister, I did not get my earlier letter off to you as scheduled. I regret this delay and ask your tolerance. This letter will serve to officially notify you that I am pleased to announce that Mr. Donald DeLue of New Jersey, was selected to design and erect a Memorial Monument on the Gettysburg Battlefield on the approved site, to honor the Louisiana Confederate Soldiers. We feel most fortunate to have the privilege of the great talents of this most honorable man to do our Monument. Any assistance that I may be able to render in the completion of this project, please let me know. I shall visit you sometime next Spring if it is convenient with you. Accept our most grateful thanks for your help and advice. Sincerely yours, Mrs. Clarence R. Letteer, Chairman
