White paper with typed black text

You mentioned that your model for the gun is the Enfield rifle and you intend to use the sword bayonet. We cannot tell very much from the photographs, but we assume that you have had historians check and you know for certain that both of these pieces complement each other. Enclosed is a copy of Mr. James Codori’s layout plan. If you and the Commission are agreed that all pertinent matter relative to the design of the proposed monument are satisfactory, we will forward this material to the Director of the Northeast Region for his review and action. Sincerely yours, Jerry L. Schober Superintendent Enclosures cc: Mississippi Gettysburg Memorial Commission TJHarrison : bd 4/20/72 P.S. It has been brought to our attention that the CSA plate on the cartridge pouch cannot be verified. If you have proof of use of the CSA plate, we would like to know. You should use the/”CS” which is on a number of such pouches. JLS impressed
