White paper with typed black text

D66 October 30, 1968 Mrs. Clarence B. Letteer Chairman, Louisiana Gettysburg Memorial Commission 807 Ninth Street Kentwood, Louisiana 70444 Dear Mrs. Letteer: Mr. Donald de Lue was in the officer on October 28 to advise us of his selection as the sculptor of the Louisiana Monument. He agreed to provide us with pictures of his model, plans for the erection and text of the accompanying plaque. To complete the submission we should have from you a formal request for permission to erect the de Lue designed memorial on the approved site. When this is received we will forward all items to the Regional Director, Northeast Region, for his consideration. We will endeavor to expedite this review since we understand that you are now ready to make a contract with Mr. de Lue. We are pleased with the progress that has been made on this project. Sincerely yours, George F. Emery Superintendent
