Description416 - 420 H Street, N.E..JPG |
English: Commercial properties (Dissident Display art gallery, Tax Service Center, and B. K. Henry Funeral Home) located at 416–420 H Street, N.E., in the Near Northeast neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
Built by real estate developer Joseph S. Boss in 1890, at a total cost of $13,000, the former row houses are examples of Queen Anne and Second Empire styles of architecture. The center building, 418 H Street, N.E., previously served as headquarters of the Black Panther Party, Washington, D.C. Chapter. Construction of the DC Streetcar's H Street NE/Benning Road Line is visible in the foreground. |
