Description
English: Two air assault-qualified soldiers assigned to 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Train, Advise, Assist Command - East conduct sling load operations as a CH-47 Chinook helicopter from Task Force Talon, 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division hovers inches above their heads at Tactical Base Gamberi, Dec. 1, 2014. The soldier on the right uses a grounding rod to safely send static electricity created from the rotor blades directly to the ground while the soldier on the left connects the sling legs to the forward cargo hook on the helicopter.
