Description3 Cats - can't catch.jpg |
Animal search & rescue markings on building in New Orleans after the Hurricane Katrina levee failure disaster. more pet search and rescue marks on uninhabitable structures near midtown, New Orleans. looks like they came by at least twice to try to get the cats. you have to hope one or more of those wily kitties made it somehow, since they were so good at evading pesky emergency crews. many pets survived til the floods receded or they were rescued, after all, like the one i talked about in the previous post. the really amazing thing is driving through here after dark no street lights. no houses illuminated, no stoplights, you go across town, and once in a while there's a lone reopened business, like the famous (and upstairs) mid-city lanes rock n bowl. it glowed like an oasis in the dark, and last week's thursday night zydeco dancing was just packed and amazing. a world class party going on... in the midst of blocks of utter blackness and quiet. |
