Summary[edit]

Description

3400 Mount Pleasant St., NW as it appeared in the 2/29/1920 "Washington Post". It had just been bought by John F. Maury, a newspaper correspondent, from William M. Kennedy. The Bancroft School currently occupies the site.

The house had 10 rooms and 2 bathrooms - the latter fact being unusual enough to merit special mention by the Post.
