Description 330-PSA-38-62 (USN 711025): U.S. Navy Lieutenant and Marine Captain teamed up to become the World’s fastest helicopter pilots when they flew the U.S. Navy Sikorsky HSS-2 to claim a new speed record of 210.65 MPH. Lieutenant Robert Crafton, (right), was pilot and Captain Louis K. Keck was co-pilot. The two men are engineering test pilots at the Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, Maryland. The HSS-2 is the Navy Version of Sikorsky’s twin-turbine S-61 helicopter. Photograph released February 6, 1962. (9/29/2015).
