Lau, battalion surgeon, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, was awarded the U.S. Central Command Joint Theater Trauma System Ditch Medicine Award for his excellence in tactical combat casualty care, Jan. 31, 2014. Lau, a 29-year-old native of Whittier, Calif., and his team of corpsmen have saved many lives of coalition service members and Afghan locals in the Sangin District. |
