Description

Roger Puta took these 5 shots from the same place in March 1981. He was working with two cameras so the exposure number on the slide does not indicate sequence but it looks like he shot the freight train first and Amtrak later but probably the same day. That's Amtrak 292 F40PHR and AT&SF SD45 5591. The R in the Amtrak model number means it was built using SDP40F components.

This file comes from the Roger Puta collection, which passed to Mel Finzer. They were scanned/posted by Marty Bernard and are in the public domain. Attribution to "Roger Puta" is not required for a public domain image, but should be done as a matter of courtesy to a major Commons contributor.
