Description
English: Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Crandell, 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuels system maintenance craftsman and Michael Scott, 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron, water and fuels utilized an aerial drone to provide accurate daily photography during the 2015 Defenders of Liberty Air Show. Originally obtained for infrastructure assessments to decrease instances of Airmen performing harness-assisted, high-level climbing, the shop coordinated with the 2nd Security Forces Squadron, 2nd Communications Squadron, 2nd CES, Federal Aviation Administration and air show subject matter experts to ensure a safe and useful Air Show flight. Water and fuels Airmen have taken this innovation a step further by offering their new skills and technology over an increasing list of uses, such as assisting other shops with roof inspections and similar time-consuming, tasks which involve high-level climbing.
