Summary[edit]
Description24Seven- UAVSAR 13-15 EDT (25929362204).png |
English: NASA’s C-20A research plane takes off from Armstrong Flight Research Center to fly over California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains to measure the snowpack with a UAVSAR pod. The snowpack provides water to millions of Californians and is monitored in part with Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar, or UAVSAR, an imaging radar instrument that collects key measurements of Earth. When flown over the same area multiple times, it can determine how land features have changed. airbornescience.nasa.gov
