Summary[edit]
Description24Seven- MODIS 11-10 EDT (26534329845).png |
English: Steve Running from the University of Montana, reports to the Terra Science Team about land cover products using data from the Moderate Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). Terra MODIS, and its sister instrument on the Aqua sateliite, view the entire Earth's surface every 1 to 2 days, acquiring data in 36 spectral bands, or groups of wavelengths. These data will improve our understanding of global dynamics and processes occurring on the land, in the oceans, and in the lower atmosphere. modis.gsfc.nasa.gov
