Summary[edit]

Description
English: London Transport bus DMS52 (reg. EGP 52J), pictured on the North Circular Road at Henlys Corner near Golders Green, Barnet, operating London Buses route 244. The 244 was a rush hour only service between Golders Green and Southgate via East Finchley and Muswell Hill from 1971, although a different version of the route ran before that date. Originally operated by single deck SMS's, Daimler Fleetline DMS52 was on the route in 1978. The route ceased operation in April 1982. This section of the North Circular hasn't changed much in the years since this photo was taken. The only major change was the closure and demolition of Henlys Garage, which gave the junction its name. Henlys was still open at this time and you can see the Shell signs on the left of the photo.
