Title
2138 horse harness pendant.jpg
Description
English: Cast copper alloy horse harness pendant length 35mm, width 20mm, thickness 3mm, weight 4.74g. Shield shaped with the remains of a suspension loop on the top. There front of the shield has three wavy lines running horizontally. These lines are recessed and would have held enamel, all remains of which are now missing. The face of the pendent retains traces of gold where it would have been gilt. The reverse of the shield is plain. That artefact is in a poor condition with corrosion effecting much of the piece, particularly the reverse. This artefact dates to the 14th century.
